roma Team News:

Roma will be without the key attacking duo of Stephan El Shaarawy and Edin Dzeko on Sunday, with Daniele De Rossi and Lorenzo Pellegrini also absent. Javier Pastore and Diego Perotti are both injury doubts too.

inter Team News:

Dalbert is the only confirmed absentee for Inter Milan, but both Sime Vrsaljko and former Roma man Radja Nainggolan are both unlikely to feature too.

roma vs inter Head to Head:

Roma and Inter Milan have each won two, drawn two, and lost two of their last six encounters, but Roma lost their last hosting of Inter in August 2017.

roma vs inter Tip Reason:

On the 15 previous occasions Roma and Inter have met in December, only one has ended level (1-1 in 1993). Roma have scored more home goals than any other team in Serie A this season (16), while Inter have conceded only six away from home. Inter have won seven of their last nine away games (L2), no Serie A side have a better record in this timeframe. However, one of those defeats came in their last game on the road, against Atalanta in Bergamo. Seven of Roma’s last 10 goals in this campaign have been scored in the second half, while Inter have conceded eight out of 10 after the break. Roma have averaged only one goal for every 3.9 shots on target this season, only Udinese have a worse ratio so far (one goal every 4.3 shots on target). Roma striker Edin Dzeko has scored only two goals in his last 15 Serie A appearances, despite attempting 64 shots. Inter’s Keita Balde, who scored a brace last weekend against Frosinone, also scored a brace last time he faced Roma (April 2017). Inter’s Radja Nainggolan made 155 Serie A appearances in five seasons at Roma – he scored the last time he faced the Giallorossi, when he was at Cagliari in February 2013.
