Manchester United’s form under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer continued at the weekend, as they eased into the Fifth Round of the FA Cup. The Red Devils were 3-1 winners at the Emirates on Friday night, making it eight wins from eight for the new boss, with a total of 22 goals scored. Finally, United are a club on the up. That’s made them heavy favourites for the points ahead of Tuesday’s meeting with Burnley. Sean Dyche led his men to a 2-2 draw at Old Trafford last season, but can he stop Solskjaer’s revitalised side? The hosts have moved within three points of the top four, on top of their FA Cup progression. Their morale is up, and there’s hope that this will turn out to be a positive season for United. Jose Mourinho had written off their Champions League hopes towards the end of his reign. However, in a matter of weeks, Solskjaer has changed the outlook at Old Trafford. Not only are they pushing for fourth, but they’re also an impressive attacking outfit and a side who PSG are going to need to worry about in a few weeks’ time. United meet another club on the up this week. Burnley have won three of their last four Premier League matches, which moved them into 16th – three points clear of the drop zone. However, the Clarets needed that recovery after a poor campaign so far, which has left them with an awful record on the road. They’ve picked up just 0.75 points per game on their travels, losing seven of their 12 trips this term. The Clarets have had issues when it comes to meeting the top teams in the league. Since beating Chelsea on the opening weekend of the 2017-18 season, Burnley are winless in their last eight away league games against ‘big six’ sides, losing the last four in a row by an aggregate score of 1-14. That doesn’t even take into account Saturday’s 5-0 hammering at Man City in the FA Cup. That makes them the perfect opponents for Solskjaer’s United, who are looking impressive in attack. Burnley lost 5-0 at City in the league, while four of their other six away league losses have come by a two-goal margin. Overall, they’ve lost by at least two goals on 10 occasions in the league this season. United have scored 17 times in their six league outings under their new boss, and we expect them to cruise past Burnley this week. We’re tipping the hosts to win by two or more goals, as Man United -1 is our tip for Tuesday’s encounter at Old Trafford.
