liverpool vs bournemouth Tip Reason:

Liverpool saw their lead in the Premier League title race cut to just 3 points last weekend as they faltered to a 1-1 draw away to West Ham, allowing Manchester City’s victory against Arsenal to reduce the defending champions’ deficit. This came under a week after Jurgen Klopp’s men dropped points at home to Leicester as well, leaving the atmosphere around Anfield teetering on the edge of nervousness. Liverpool have now won just 2 of their last 5 Premier League matches, and there is a distinct feeling that they could be about to bottle it in the title race. Either way, they’re unlikely to drop any more points when they host Bournemouth on Saturday. The visitors enjoyed an excellent opening portion of the Premier League campaign but have since slipped into a very difficult patch of form. They lost 2-0 at Cardiff last weekend, bringing them back down to earth after a shock 4-0 thrashing of Chelsea at the Vitality Stadium. That huge victory was an outlier though, and the Cherries have lost 10 of their last 15 league matches. To make matters worse, all of Bournemouth’s recent successes have come at the Vitality Stadium. Their loss at Cardiff last weekend made it 7 defeats on the trot away from home, and they have conceded a massive 20 goals in this period. Facing off against the second highest scorers in the Premier League probably won’t be top of their wishlist. The start of the season saw Liverpool showing an uncharacteristically strong back line, and while that has faltered a bit in recent weeks their attacking trio are doing their best to take up the slack. They have scored 17 goals in their last 5 Premier League home games, so they will be looking for a glut of goals on Saturday to get morale back up again. Liverpool have scored at least 3 goals in 7 of their 12 home league games this season, including in 4 of their last 5. Meanwhile, Bournemouth have shipped 3 or more in 3 of their last 6 trips away, and with Liverpool scoring 3 or more in 4 of their last 5 meetings with Bournemouth we think backing Liverpool Over 2.5 Team Goals looks a great shout alongside a 3-1 correct score prediction. We’re also opting for Sadio Mane to find the net on Saturday. The Senegalese attacker has scored 8 of his 11 league goals at Anfield this season and has bagged in 4 of their last 5 games there, so he looks a great choice for our anytime goalscorer predictions.
