burnley vs crystal-palace Tip Reason:

Burnley’s impressive unbeaten run in the Premier League came to an end on Tuesday as they were subjected to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of the resurgent Newcastle at St James’ Park, but Sean Dyche will be confident in his teams ability to bounce back from this minor setback. The Clarets looked in real trouble earlier this season as they struggled to find the form that took them to a 7th place finish last term, but the end of 2018 saw a change in their fortunes, leaving the Turf Moor faithful quietly confident in their ability to avoid the drop. Prior to that loss at Newcastle, Burnley were unbeaten in 8 Premier League matches and had won 5 of them. This includes a victory over Spurs and a draw against the in form Manchester United too, and that’s been enough to move them into 15th place and 5 points clear of the relegation zone. Crystal Palace won’t be easy opponents to face though. The Eagles also lost in midweek as they came up against Manchester United, but last weekend they romped to a 4-1 victory away to Leicester and that defeat to Man Utd was their first in 4 league games. This leaves Roy Hodgson’s side level on points with Burnley, sitting just above them on goal difference and also hoping to push for a top half finish this season. All they need is a consistent streak that has been lacking for years at Selhurst Park. Palace have even managed to up the ante away from home, winning 3 of their last 5 and only losing against Liverpool. On Saturday they come up against a Burnley side who have won 3 of their last 4 at home though, so we’re expecting this to be a tight one. One thing we can hope for is a bit of attacking intent from both sides. The defensive stability that was the foundation of Burnley’s success last season has abandoned them this time around, and they have only kept 3 clean sheets in their 13 Premier League games at Turf Moor this season. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace have scored in 12 of their 14 trips away and have netted an impressive 15 goals in their last 6 away days. The visitors have conceded in 9 of their last 11 on the road though, and with Burnley finding the net in all but 2 of their home games this season we think backing Both Teams to Score is a great value offering along with a tight 1-1 correct score prediction. We’re also backing Ashley Barnes to find the net for the hosts. Barnes has scored in 4 of Burnley’s last 5 Premier League games and has been their attacking saviour alongside Chris Wood, so he looks an excellent choice for our anytime goalscorer predictions.
