liverpool vs tottenham Tip Reason:

We’re coming into the business end of the Premier League season now, and Liverpool remain neck and neck with the reigning champions Manchester City in the race for the top spot. They have played one more game than their title rivals and sit two points clear of them though, and with Manchester City in fine form at the moment that makes Jurgen Klopp’s side underdogs in the title race. In all honesty, Liverpool could have had a commanding lead in the Premier League by now, but a run of sub-par performances could have ruined their chances at lifting the trophy this year. They have only won four of their last eight league matches, drawing the remaining four and with only one of those failures coming against a ‘Big Six’ team. That being said, their form at Anfield has been sensational this season. They are yet to lose a Premier League game at home and have won 13 of their 15 outings in front of The Kop. 44 goals have been notched past their visiting opposition, and they have only conceded nine at the other end. A couple of months ago you might have given Tottenham Hotspur a good chance in this game, but once again they have seen any hope of a title challenge disintegrate in the closing stages of the season. Their last outing was a dismal 2-1 defeat away to the relegation threatened Southampton, extending their winless streak to four Premier League matches. Three of these have ended in defeat, and this collapse has left them 15 points adrift of the league leaders. Worryingly, they are now only three points inside the top four as well. Arsenal, Manchester United, and Chelsea are all bearing down on them in the race for a valuable Champions League spot, so a return to form is absolutely crucial for Mauricio Pocchettino’s side. We can’t see them returning to form here though. They have lost 15 of their last 24 Premier League away games against Liverpool, winning just once, and their last three Premier League away days have all ended in defeat. A Liverpool win here looks very likely indeed. We’re also expecting a few goals to be scored at Anfield though. Liverpool’s excellent attacking record has resulted in seven of their last eight home league games having at least three goals scored, and Spurs have seen more than two goals in six of their last eight away days in the competition. This makes a Liverpool Win and Over 2.5 Goals look a great value offering, along with a 3-1 win for the in form hosts. Sadio Mane is the man to watch for Liverpool right now. The Senegalese attacker is their joint top scorer in the league with 17 goals to his name, despite playing two fewer games than Mohamed Salah. A massive 13 of these goals have come at Anfield too, and with eight goals in his last six home league games he looks a fantastic choice for our anytime goalscorer predictions.
