chelsea vs west-ham Tip Reason:

It’s fair to say that it’s not exactly been plain sailing for Chelsea under the tutelage of Maurizio Sarri this season. The Italian started well enough, but a drop off in form was followed by some clear player disenchantment, and soon enough Sarri found himself with the fans on his back. Despite all of this, Chelsea’s season is far from over. They are still in the fray for the Europa League, and even after some very poor results in the league, they are still in contention for a Premier League top four spot. Coming into the final six games of the season, The Blues are only behind Arsenal on goal difference and are just a point behind a declining Spurs in 3rd. Results such as a 4-0 loss at Bournemouth and their 6-0 humiliation at the Etihad are hard to ignore, but at Stamford Bridge Chelsea have actually performed very well. They have only lost one home game in the Premier League this season, and their 3-0 win against Brighton last time out made it four wins from their last five. West Ham’s season has been a typically inconsistent one, and it’s always been a game of catch up after they began the campaign with a four match losing streak. They have put in a number of very impressive performances this term, but once again they have been let down by a complete lack of momentum. Last weekend saw them fall to a dismal 2-0 loss at home to Everton, leaving them 11th in the table and five points adrift of the 7th place spot they’re aiming for. They have now lost three of their last five games, and their problems get even worse when they travel away from the London Stadium. The Hammers have lost five of their last six away games in the Premier League and won none. Now they’re coming up against a Chelsea side with an excellent home record, and the signs aren’t looking promising for them. We’re expecting a home win here, and we’re not foreseeing a close game. Chelsea have kept a clean sheet in seven of their last 10 home league games, and the visiting West Ham have failed to score in five of their last six on the road. All of their recent defeats have been to nil, so backing Chelsea to Win to Nil here looks a great option alongside a 2-0 correct score prediction.
