swansea vs stoke-city Tip Reason:

Both Swansea and Stoke are set for another season in the Championship, but things are turning around for the relegated pair. The duo dropped out of the top flight last term, but they have moved into the security of midtable. Swansea sit just on the edge of the top half, while Nathan Jones is turning things around at the bet365 Stadium. However, which of these two form sides will claim the points here? Swansea can look back on a solid campaign, especially if they can rally and break into the top 12 before the season is out. The Welsh side have seen major stars depart, but boss Graham Potter is bringing together a new look side full of young talents. With two 23-year-olds on the scoresheet in their 3-1 victory over Middlesbrough at the weekend, that approach is clearly working for the Swans. The visitors are improving too, as they were 1-0 winners at Blackburn on Saturday. The Potters have moved into 15th on the back of that win, while they’ve clawed their way to within two points of Swansea in the table. That comes following a nine-game unbeaten run kicked off by new manager Jones. He’s taken them up a level in recent weeks, leading them to six consecutive matches without conceding a goal. However, can they build on that fine record here? The visitors have gone five unbeaten on the road, but they’ve hardly faced quality opposition. Stoke have met Wigan, Ipswich, QPR, Derby and Blackburn on their travels. None of those sides were in form going into those meetings, while they’ve managed to hold off attacks of sides towards the bottom of the league. Facing off with Swansea is set to be a different matter entirely, as the hosts have put together a great run at the Liberty to push themselves to the brink of the top half. Swansea have recorded back to back home wins in the last week, after seeing off Brentford and Middlesbrough. That’s part of a great run at their own ground, which has seen them claim 10 victories at the Liberty this term. The hosts have won five of their last six at home – only losing in controversial circumstances against Manchester City. In the league they’re unbeaten in seven, having won four on the spin. Stoke may be in good form, but this is a really tough test, one we expect them to fail. With the Swans on a roll at home, they’re fine value for a victory here.
