tottenham vs brighton Tip Reason:

Tottenham Hotspur visited the Etihad for the second time in under a week on Saturday afternoon, and for the second time in a row they came away on the end of a narrow defeat. That being said, their weekend loss will have proven much more disappointing than the midweek defeat that saw them through to the Champions League semi final on away goals. It’s safe to say that it’s been a pretty emotional week for Spurs fans, and on Tuesday they will be more than relieved to be coming up against some undoubtedly weaker opposition. However, Brighton have it all to fight for right now and really need to start picking up some results. Spurs, for all their European glory, have found it tough in the Premier League lately. They have won just two of their last eight league games and find themselves embroiled in a battle for the top four. They currently sit 3rd in the table, just a point above Chelsea in 5th. Things have been going well in their new stadium though. The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has seen three wins from three in all competitions, with clean sheets throughout for Spurs and six goals scored in these matches. The home fans will undoubtedly be expecting another three points on Tuesday too. They’re facing a Brighton side who are without a win in five league games, and The Seagulls have failed to score in each of these matches. That has left Chris Hughton’s side only three points above the relegation zone, and the fact that they face Arsenal and Manchester City in their final two games of the season will be weighing heavily on their minds. Away from home Brighton have lost six of their last nine Premier League matches, and since their return to the top flight they have lost all 10 of their trips away to the Premier League Big Six, conceding 22 goals in the process and scoring just two in return. With Spurs winning five of their last six league games at home, we’re expecting a comfortable home win here. We’re also foreseeing a few goals to be scored. Brighton’s poor defensive record has resulted in six of their last seven Premier League away days ending with at least three goals being scored, while seven of Spurs’ last 12 home league games have as well. We’re backing a Tottenham Hotspur Win and Over 2.5 Goals here, along with a 3-0 correct score prediction. Son Heung-min is catching the eye in the anytime goalscorer market too. The South Korean attacker has done a good job of filling the boots of Harry Kane since his injury, scoring four goals in his last five competitive games for Spurs. He has scored 10 goals on home soil this season and has found the net in four of his last six home league appearances, so we’re backing him to get on the score-sheet here.
