dijon vs lens Tip Reason:

The first leg in Lens finished 1-1 as Kwon Chang-hoon’s 81st minute goal cancelled out Jean-Ricner Bellegarde’s opener. It was a rather even match as both sides had twelve shots and an almost equal share of the possession but more importantly it showed that Lens can mix it with the big boys as they had multiple chances to put the match away, most notably through Yannick Gomis, their top scorer this season. Lens had a great home record ahead of the first leg but they couldn’t make the most of it and that could come back to bite them here as Philippe Montanier’s men haven’t been as clinical on the road this season. They have won five of their last dozen away games but with two of these requiring extra-time/penalties, it hasn’t been the best run of form for Lens when on foreign soil. Six defeats came in this time and with just one goal averaged a match in away games this season, Lens could struggle if they don’t turn up their levels when it matters most. However, Lens are unbeaten in their last six games so they won’t just roll over for their Ligue 1 opponents, especially with the prize such a great one. Dijon have won their last three home games though and this may just be the key factor that tips this match in favour of the Mustards. Rennes, Strasbourg and Toulouse were all brushed aside in these wins but both teams scored in each match and we could see this market winning again. The first leg seen both teams score with many guilt-edge chances for a few more and with this market winning in Dijon’s last three home matches and in Lens’ last four games, we’re backing that again here. We’re also going to back Dijon to get the win as while Lens had their chances on Thursday, ultimately they didn’t take them, even with their great home record of just one loss since December. Dijon have been great at home recently with three wins on the bounce and we’re backing them to make it four here with a 2-1 victory. Without a doubt Dijon have been much better recently with four wins and two draws in their last nine games and even though the Mustards deserve to be in this relegation play-off, their manager Antoine Kombouaré is vastly experienced and should be able to see his side past his former team Lens.
