motherwell vs hearts Tip Reason:

There have been more than three goals scored in Motherwell’s last four home games. Hearts have failed to score in their last six away games. The Steelmen have scored 2.66 goals in their last three home games, whilst the Jambos have conceded an average of 3 in as many ties. Rampant Steelmen attack Motherwell won their second game in a row during the week as they comfortably beat St Mirren 3-0 away from home, after thrashing St Johnstone 4-0 at Fir Park last week. The Steelmen’s home form has been fantastic, as Stephen Robinson’s side has won four of their last five matches. Despite their recent results at home, Motherwell has struggled to keep opposing teams at bay, as they’ve conceded in four of their last six games. However, the flip side to that coin is that the hosts have been on fire in attack, scoring an average of 2.66 goals in their last three fixtures at home. Goalless Jambos on the road Hearts come into this game as they enter their fifth week without a managerial appointment, with Austin MacPhee taking the reins once again. However, things aren’t looking good for the Jambos and they’ve lost three of their last five matches. The Edinburgh club’s situation on the road is even worse, as they’ve failed to score a single goal in their last five games- failing to do so in 63% of their overall away days- whilst also conceding an average of 3 goals in their three most recent fixtures. Comfortable match for the hosts Motherwell should have no problem defeating a very weak Hearts team that’s in dire need of a manager. We’re going to back the Steelmen to win to nil, as the hosts’ goalscoring form should be more than enough to see them over the line, especially as the Jambos have failed to score in any of their last five away days and have lost their previous three. We’re also going for a final score of 3-0 to the hosts, given that they’ve scored an average of 2.66 goals in their last trio of games and that Hearts have conceded an average of 3 times.
