verona vs juventus Tip Reason:

Verona scored in 100% of their last 13 matches in all competitions. Juventus kept just two clean sheets in their last 10 attempts. Juventus registered at least once in 21 of their 22 Serie A fixtures this term. The Old Lady are averaging just 1.95 goals per 90 minutes in Serie A this season. Verona continue to impress A youthful Verona team continue to impress in their first season back in Italy’s top flight, and I Mastini are enjoying their longest unbeaten run of the campaign ahead of their meeting with Serie A title holders Juventus on Saturday. Verona won three and drew the other three games of their six-match unbeaten stretch, and though their run was helped by a favourable run of fixtures, the newly promoted outfit’s performances have still been suitably impressive. Ivan Jurić’s men gave Juve a run for their money when the teams clashed in Turin back in late September, and Verona took the lead against their more illustrious hosts before Cristiano Ronaldo created one and scored the other in a 2-1 Juventus turnaround. More recently, a run of six wins in seven has allowed Juventus to open up a narrow three-point lead at the summit of Serie A, though the usually watertight champions haven’t quite looked themselves in defensive areas for several months now. Juventus defensive standards slipping Maurizio Sarri’s rearguard managed to keep just two clean sheets in 10 top flight attempts since early November, and Juve kept their opponents off the scoresheet in just one third of their fixtures overall since the summer. Remarkably, Juventus didn’t concede a single goal in a huge 42% of their Serie A fixtures in 2018/19, indicating that their defence is much easier to get at this time around. Verona, who registered in 100% of their last 13 matches and in eight of their last nine contests at home have the tools to punish the regression in Juventus’ defending, but while we expect the hosts to score, their chances of keeping the champions out at the other end look decidedly slim. Juventus rattled the net in all but one of their 22 Serie A matches since August and with the incomparable Ronaldo in particularly stunning form (10 goals in his last six appearances), the Old Lady should have more than enough firepower to register again. Both teams to score? With the aforementioned factors considered, we think backing both teams to score represents good value at the prices available, though our correct score prediction tips Juventus to eventual emerge as 2-1 victors. The Old Lady have won 17 of their 22 Serie A matches this season, though their 1.95 goals per game average characterises their attack as a more efficient than prolific unit overall, with Ronaldo, of course, the individual exception. Juventus scored exactly two goals in each of their last two Serie A away wins at Roma and Sampdoria respectively, and we’re tipping them to bag too more to just about force a victory against Verona again.
